How a search runs

How does The Six-Step Search work?

Every search runs the same six steps. We agree the brief with you, map where the people work, find direct contact routes, reach out personally and repeatedly, then qualify each candidate live. You only see a short list of people who fit, with notes on each, and we stay with you through offer and start.

  1. 01

    Search Calibration

You get: A written brief you sign off on: scope, must-haves, pay band and who not to approach.

  2. 02

    Market Mapping

You get: A map of the companies and projects where your future hire is working today.

  3. 03

    Professional Contact Intelligence

You get: Verified direct contact routes to the people on that map, not job board replies.

  4. 04

    Persistent Personalized Outreach

You get: Repeated, role-specific outreach to people who are not looking, in your words.

  5. 05

    Live Candidate Qualification

You get: Each candidate is screened live against your brief before you hear their name.

  6. 06

    Candidate Intelligence and Process Support

You get: A short list with candidate briefs, then support through interviews, offer and start.

Why start with the hiring situation instead of the job title?

The situation decides who the right person is. A superintendent for a first campus in a new market needs different instincts from one joining a mature program. Naming the situation, such as a confidential replacement or a new hall turnover, tells us which experience to search for before any title is written.

Each situation guide on this page describes the pressures involved, the roles that usually come first and the mistakes that slow a team down. They are written for hiring managers who know what is happening on their project but have not staffed this exact moment before.

Many teams face two situations at once. A developer that has just raised capital may also be entering a new market. Read both guides and tell us which pressure is most urgent.

How do the situation guides help you plan the sequence of hires?

Most situations have a natural order. Leaders who will shape a team come first, then the specialists who carry risk, then the volume roles. Hiring the volume roles before their leaders often means the leader inherits people they would not have chosen and spends months rebuilding the crew.

Sequencing also protects budget. A clear order lets you commit to the roles that unlock the next stage rather than opening every seat at once and interviewing in a hurry.

The guides suggest an order, but your constraints decide it. A fixed energization date or a customer handover may force an exception, and that is a judgment we discuss openly on the calibration call.

What if your situation is not listed?

Pick the guide closest to your pressure and describe the difference when you send the role. Situations overlap heavily: a retrofit for liquid cooling shares problems with a GPU go live, and a contract takeover shares problems with standing up round the clock operations. The closest guide still gives a useful starting point.

We add situations when clients keep describing the same problem. If yours is new, that conversation helps the next team that faces it.

Whatever the situation, the search itself follows the same process. Only the brief, the target pool and the order of hires change.

Questions

Which hiring situation should I read first?

Read the one that matches the most urgent pressure on your project, then any second situation that overlaps with it.

Do the situation guides change the fee?

No. The guides change who we search for and in which order. The commercial terms stay the same.

Can one search cover two situations?

Yes. We agree which situation leads the brief so outreach stays focused.
